This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield received a smattering of boos at the National Television Awards on Thursday evening after their nomination for Best Daytime Show was announced. Despite the backlash to the presenters amid this year’s queue-jumping row, the talk show scooped up the trophy and Holly delivered an emotional speech.
Holly delivered a tearful speech after This Morning won the NTA for Best Daytime Show.
After taking to the stage with Phillip, Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary and the rest of the team, she thanked viewers and the ITV bosses for their continued support.
“This Morning has a very special relationship with you, you make our show for us, you really do,” she said to the audience.
“Everybody that is part of this, all these guys up here, ITV, the whole team – thank you for your ongoing support.”
