Holly Willoughby screams after This Morning descends into chaos

Jamie Oliver jokes Craig Doyle has ‘broken’ This Morning set

This Morning’s Holly Willoughby screamed as co-host Craig Doyle caused chaos in the studio after almost hitting her with a lemon.

Just as the pair opened the show, the subject of sports came up as Holly remarked: “The boys start their football, Belle’s got hockey, so it’s like it feels properly back out on the sidelines this weekend.”

“It’s great, it’s the best. Also, I know Jamie Olver’s into rugby these days,” Craig replied, looking over at guest chef Jamie who had joined them in the studio.

The presenter replied: “So I’m going to do a bit of man bonding, watch this. You’re into rugby yeah?”

“Yeah I am, I love it,” Jamie responded before Craig threw a lemon in his direction.

“And one back!” Jamie replied after catching the fruit.

Holly remarked: “Oh my god,” as the chef chucked the lemon back towards Craig, who swiftly caught it.

The host then launched it out of the shot as it narrowly missed Holly, who screeched before a loud bang was heard.

“You’ve broken the set already!” Jamie told Craig.

“Sorry, can we get a camera on this?” Holly requested, adding: “You threw it, Sonia [Sodha] was sitting there!”

The lemon must have knocked over some water as Holly pointed out: “Sonia, you’re actually drenched!”

She promptly added: “And that’s why I stay away from sport…”

Holly has been making headlines lately because Tuesday night saw This Morning lose their title of of Best Daytime Programme.

During the National Television Awards, the accolade went to BBC’s The Repair Shop despite being awarded to This Morning for the last 13 years.

Body language experts believed Holly seemed disappointed as she clapped for the rival show.

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, body language expert Darren Stanton has analysed Holly’s reaction to losing the gong, with him revealing the presenter felt “a lot of turmoil internally” as she showed her hurt through “masking smiles” and “disengaged eye contact.”

This Morning airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
