Disney’s Winnie the Pooh will be featured in the concert in some capacity, perhaps similar to Paddington Bear for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last year, while Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor will serve up a spoken word performance.
Survivalist Bear Grylls and former Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse will be appearing in pre-recorded sketches, sharing little-known facts about the King.
The latest names join an already packed and star-studded roster of stars including Take That, American superstar Lionel Richie, pop icon Katy Perry, international opera star Andrea Bocelli, Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel, British singer-songwriter Freya Ridings and classical-soul composer and producer Alexis Ffrench.
There will be exclusive performances from The Coronation Choir, which is made up of keen community singers across the nation and will be conducted by Gareth Malone.
Added to this, for the first time ever, The Royal Ballet, The Royal Opera, the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Royal College of Music and The Royal College of Art will come together.
This five-way collaboration will feature Doctor Who and Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa and Mei Mac.
This special performance will encompass the themes of love and togetherness, combining music, dance, art and theatre in what is being billed as the ultimate Royal collaboration.
However, the centrepiece of the Coronation Concert will be Lighting up the Nation, which will see the country come together for the coronation with iconic locations across the UK lit up using projections, lasers, drone displays and illuminations.
