EastEnders star Charlie Brooks opens up about loneliness in lockdown

EastEnders star Charlie Brooks has opened up about the loneliness she has been experiencing through lockdown, despite bubbling up with her ex Tony Truman.

Charlie – known for playing Janine Butcher in the BBC One soap – has been living with Tony and their daughter Kiki.

Speaking to MailOnline, Charlie said: ‘There’s a certain confidence that comes with age. Don’t get me wrong, some days I wake up and I feel inarticulate and all of those things, it’s a work in progress 100%.

I feel more confident in who I am in what I offer and what I’m capable of.’

‘Sometimes I feel a bit lonely’ Charlie continued as she discussed time in lockdown with Tony and Kiki.

‘I am single, I have been for a few years, but it’s OK I feel in a really good place. I think when love presents itself, I’ll be ready for it.’

‘We’re going to grow old together, just in a very different way.’

Back in April, it was revealed that Charlie will be returning to EastEnders soon as Janine is set to play a huge role in a storyline later this year.
