EastEnders' Cheryl Fergison wants to play a "long-lost Dingle" on Emmerdale

It’s been six years since Cheryl Fergison last appeared on screen as Heather Trott in EastEnders (at least in person).

While we imagine Heather won’t be returning any time soon (she is dead, after all), the actress has now put her hat in the ring to appear in not one but TWO other soaps.

Cheryl appeared on Good Morning Britain earlier today (October 23) where she revealed that she has relocated up north, though said she does miss doing the BBC soap in London.

“I wouldn’t mind getting in another one of those soaps,” she said. “Yeah please! Corrie or Emmerdale, a long-lost Dingle, or anything.”

This is not the first time that Cheryl has pitched herself, earlier this year making a public call to get cast on one of the other big soaps.

“It seems many of the soap-watching public would like to see me on the cobbles or in the dales,” Cheryl tweeted at the time. “[Emmerdale and Coronation Street] worth considering if you are thinking of new characters?

“Heather was such a great character to play. Now it’s time to create a new character. Time to see a completely different character in one of the other continuing dramas.”

We’re sure there’s a space for a long-list Dingle, eh Emmerdale?
