This weekend’s big virtual event DC FanDome is set to deliver news and exclusive first looks at a variety of upcoming DC movies, including The Suicide Squad, The Batman, and Black Adam. However, one of the most anticipated titles isn’t a new movie exactly–it’s director Zack Snyder’s reworked version of 2017’s Justice League. Ahead of the full trailer, a teaser has been released.
The teaser is short, but it does reveal some previously unseen footage. There’s a bare-chested Superman looking at some writing on a floor, Victor Stone (aka Cyborg) on a football field, something large and fiery crashing in a park, and a cool shot of the five Justice League heroes’s legs on a rooftop. Check it out below:
This teaser follows as even-shorter one that was released in June. The Justice League Snyder cut doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but it is expected to debut on Warner’s streaming platform HBO Max in 2021. The movie stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, and Ezra Miller.
Justice League was originally released in November 2017. Synder left the movie while it was still being made and was replaced by Joss Whedon, who oversaw reshoots and post-production. The result was a critical and commercial disappointment, and fans have campaigned ever since to see Synder’s original vision. The Snyder cut was announced in May, shortly before the launch of HBO Max. Snyder has stated that the movie “will be an entirely new thing.”
DC Fandome takes place on Saturday, August 22, with a second event happening on Saturday, September 12. You check out the latest panel list, timings, and how to watch the event here.
