How old is Coronation Street actor Daniel Brocklebank?

Corrie actor Daniel Brocklebank was born on December 21, 1979, with the star celebrating his 43rd birthday this week.

He marked the occasion with a night out on the town with Coronation Street’s assistant director Woody Wade, Shona Platt star Julia Goulding and former cast member Katie McGlynn.

Along with a cute picture of the four of them together, Brocklebank wrote: “Birthday dinner with these beauties.”

The post led to a flurry of birthday wishes from stars including Kym Marsh, Line of Duty’s Craig Parkinson, Lisa George and Sally Carman.

In the ITV soap, Billy has had three serious long-term relationships, the first with Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) for two years.

This was before he left him for mischievous Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) who he was with for a year before he went on the run.

His next romance was with Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) for two years but again, this ended thanks to Todd and his meddling ways.

Sean actor Antony Cotton is the eldest of the four at 47 years old, while Paul star Peter Ash is the youngest at 37.

Todd actor Gareth Pierce is just a couple of years younger than Brocklebank at 41 years old.

Brocklebank’s real-life love life made the headlines in 2017 when he started dating 30-year-old actor Rob Mallard who plays Daniel Barlow in Coronation Street.

They were seen out together with Mallard calling Brocklebank “the best thing I’ve taken home this year” at the British Soap Awards.

Sadly, their romance wasn’t to last as they broke up after a couple of months due to the pressures of working together and dating.

His next relationship was to last for two years with former Mr Gay World champion, Stuart Hatton Jr.

The pair met at Stockholm Pride with Brocklebank stating on Twitter: “The best love story is when you fall in love at the most unexpected time with the most unexpected person.”

They went their separate ways shortly before Christmas in 2019 with reports of conflicting schedules causing friction in their relationship.

It is thought that Brocklebank has remained single since his time with Hatton Jr.

He will now be taking to the stage alongside Mallard and his other co-stars for Britain Get Singing.
