The stony-faced 22-year-old stared straight at the ground as it emerged that Jack had given an interview to Now before their split, saying that fans "wanted us to fail".
Dani stunned followers on Friday when she confirmed The Sun's exclusive that she and Jack, who won Love Island this summer, had split.
She said that they couple were "not meant to be long term" and had "sadly decided to part ways".
However, days after ending the six-month relationship, they were reunited and merrily posting videos of one another on their Instagram feeds.
And if that wasn't confusing enough, her dad Danny Dyer also got involved, telling Jonathan Ross that the idea they'd split was "b******s".
However, speaking in today's issue of Now – which went to press before the pair split last week – Jack opened up about the couple's rows.
He explained: "If Dani and I have an argument, ten minutes later we're laughing together!"
The former pen salesman added: "Dani and I got on so well, but people wanted us to fail."
He also admitted he sometimes felt like he could no longer confide in anyone.
Jack said: "I'm always really open and I'll chat to anyone and let them know how I'm feeling.
"But now I wonder if I can tell someone about how I'm feeling because of what they might do with that information."
