Joey Essex was grilled by hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on Sunday's Dancing On Ice after declaring that he had "fallen in love".
During the latest instalment, Joey, 32, took to the ice to perform a Paso Doble with pro skater Vanessa Bauer, who he has been teasing a romance with.
The duo secured a place in next week’s live show with enough votes from the public after scoring a total of 30.5 from the judges.
Prior to this, and after performing, Phil said of Joey's routine: "You did actually feel very confident about that. You said you were dreaming about it, woke up this morning and thought 'I can do this'."
To which Joey said: “Literally, I think about it in my sleep every night. It’s mad, I have actually fallen in love…”
He then took a short pause where he looked at Vanessa, before saying, “…with, ice skating.”
To which Phil cheekily questioned: “With, ice skating?”
As the audience burst into cheers, Joey, who had one arm around Vanessa, added: “I’ve fallen in love with Paso."
Standing beside Holly in a black tuxedo, Phil then asked: “Anything else?”
Before Joey laughed: “Ummm… no, just the ice.”
It’s not the first time that Joey’s teased a romance with pro skating partner Vanessa.
In last week’s live show on Sunday, the two of them performed an electrifying routine to You’re The One That I Want from Grease with 32-year-old Joey dressing up as Danny Zuko and Vanessa, 26, transforming into Sandy Olsson.
Holly was quick to pick up on it, wasting no time in asking about their closeness.
“It’s like you’re a real life Sandy and Danny out there! Have you got something to tell us, you two?” she asked.
Vanessa giggled as Joey responded: “Danny and Sandy are getting on pretty well. If you know what I mean,” before winking at Holly.
Rumours first started swirling back in November, when the couple were given a month together on the ice before the show starts to practice.
It was thought that the two of them were growing closer and were even snapped cosying up to each other at the TV choice awards.
In his VT before the first dance, Joey said: “Vanessa is single, I’m single. There’s going to be a bit of flirting going on.”
