Craig Doyle has taken to social media to mark a 'lovely few days' presenting on This Morning alongside Alison Hammond.
The Irish presenter, 52, joined Alison as they took over the helm from Holly Willoughby, who is enjoying an extended half-term break from the show after the departure of co-host Philip Schofield.
During Craig's stint on the daytime TV show, the host welcomed a number of guests to the famous couch, including actor Sir Lenny Henry.
Sharing a snap with the Rings Of Power Star and Alison to his Instagram Stories, Craig wrote: "Lovely few days with @alisonhammond55 and some new pals #lennyhenry".
Joining the show on Wednesday and Thursday, Craig stepped in for Alison's usual co-host Dermot O'Leary, who was taking time off to celebrate his 50th birthday.
Known for his work at BT sport, Craig joined the This Morning team in November 2021, presenting competitions initially before becoming a relief presenter when main hosts are off – often joining Josie Gibson.
It comes as This Morning is heading for quite the shake-up on set, following Philip's decision to leave the show earlier this month. The exit came after rumours of a "fall-out" between Phil, 62, and Holly, 41, had been swirling, with talk of tension on-set as the once-close pals were said to have been "barely speaking" once the cameras stop rolling.
They put on a united front last week as they returned to presenting duties as normal, despite Phillip's initial bombshell statement, in which he admitted things "haven't been easy" between the pair.
Despite putting on a brave face while presenting with Craig this week, Alison seemed to be “feeling the pressure” and showing signs of "awkwardness" on the show, according to a body language expert.
Body language expert Darren Stanton revealed that although Alison was a “very confident woman” and the stronger person in the dynamic – she was also displaying signs of feeling awkward with “a lot of pressure on her shoulders”.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair, he said: “Alison is a very confident woman. She’s been with This Morning for a very long time. However, as Phillip and Holly have been the main presenters for so long, I think there is a lot of pressure on Alison’s shoulders.
"Whether she is presenting with Craig or Dermot, she appears to be the stronger person in the dynamic – but I can tell she feels the pressure as the most prevalent person in the running."
