A Coronation Street star has landed an exciting new role over in the US just days after quitting the hit ITV soap.
Twana Omer, who played Daryan Zahawi, said his emotional goodbyes to Weatherfield residents last week.
Twana set foot on the cobbles last year and was involved in a harrowing storyline that dealt with racism and far-right extremism.

But now, days since his exit, Twana has bagged himself a major role in a Broadway play called The Jungle.
The soap star is set to appear in the show in New York until the end of March – before joining the stage production again at the end of April in Washington.
Twana isn’t the only Corrie star to be in the Broadway show though – as soap icon Julie Hesmondhalgh, who played Hayley Cropper on the ITV soap, will be appearing on stage too.
Twana was part of one of the show’s most dramatic storylines after his character was brutally attacked by racist thugs in episodes aired in November.
Daryan was chased and physically attacked by Griff’s racist gang as he left the restaurant after working late.
“You don't belong here," they told him, after warning him to “speak English.”
The harrowing scene garnered 112 complaints to broadcasting watchdog Ofcom, with one angry fan fuming of the episode: “I’ve had enough of this racist storyline #corrie! Absolutely VILE.”
Someone else chimed in and said: “Just outrageous this. I know you put warnings out but just not #corrie this trash."
Another viewer was left “completely sickened” by the vile scenes.
Twana is not the only Corrie star to be leaving the cobbles in recent weeks.
Actor Qasim Akhtar also recently bowed out as a full-time member of the cast.
His character Zeedan reunited with his wife after previously refusing to, and left the street for a new life in London.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 snd ITVX
