Coronation Street stars burst into song in first look at Britain Get Singing | The Sun

DRAMA continues to unfold in the cobbles and the festive period is filled with twists and turns.

But a handful of Coronation Street stars have also decided to step out of Weatherfield to join the line-up of Britain Get Singing.

The 90-minute one-off program is coming to ITV and ITVX to support the broadcaster's mental health campaign, Britain Get Talking, launched in 2019.

In October, 2022, ITV revealed the show's star-studded cast which include very familiar faces on the British box.

Corrie's Michael Le Vell and Sue Devaney aka Kevin and Debbie Webster will take to the stage for the Christmas extravaganza.

They will be joined by fellow cast members Daniel Brocklebank known as Billy Mayhew and Daniel Osbourne actor Rob Mallard.

While they may have only stepped into the cobbles in recent months as Dee-Dee Bailey and Glenda Shuttleworth, both Channique Sterling-Brown and Jodie Prenger – an accomplished singer – have accepted to join in.

The cast will also be including stars from rival ITV soap Emmerdale in the likes of Lisa Riley, Mark Charnock, Daisy Campbell, Jay Kontzle, Lawrence Robb, Bradley Johnson and Olivia Bromley.

Viewers will also see big names from Love Island, The Chase and Loose Women.

All stars will be put into groups and attempt to impress the studio audience and a Super Panel made up of iconic TV judges with their vocal skills.
