CBS’ hit procedural drama Blue Bloods is expected to return to screens with season 13 in October. Ahead of its release fans had been rewatching the series to refresh their memory and spotted a major blunder in season seven.

Blue Bloods follows the professional and personal lives of the Reagan family led by patriarch Frank Reagen (played by Tom Selleck).

As the NYC Police Commissioner, Frank took pride in the fact this his children followed his footsteps and worked in law enforcement.

His son Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) worked as an NYPD Detective while his daughter was Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) the Deputy Bureau Chief of the Trial Bureau.

Frank’s youngest son Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) was a police officer alongside his wife Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray).

While they would work on their individual cases the family would routinely reunite each week for Sunday dinner where they would discuss work and offer each other advice.

As Danny was a part of the Maor Case Squad he and his partner Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) were often called to help the local police department with an investigation.

This was seen during season seven after law enforcement discovered a dangerous ex-KGB agent who had entered the US on a diplomatic visa.

As fans watched the gripping episode viewers were quick to notice that it featured a major error.

Exposing the blunder on, a viewer wrote: “Baez tells Danny that detectives from Moscow are on their way to help with the investigation.

“When it cuts to Anthony entering the courtroom, just as Erin removes her glasses the T-mark is visible on the floor behind her, at the bottom left side of the screen.”

The T-mark being visible during the scene was undoubtedly a major error as it’s a symbol used for accuracy

It reminds the actor where they need to be which helps production know where they need to be to hit their marks.

Although this proved to be a distraction to some viewers, other fans continued to be enthralled by the episode to see Danny shoot the criminal as he tried to escape.

Thankfully for fans, Blue Bloods will return to screens with season 13 in October.

Fans can expect to see more of Baez’s personal life as the finale revealed she became a new mother after adopting a baby whose parents died during an investigation.

Erin is also expected to go through a huge change during season 13 as she announced she was going for the District Attorney role.

During Erin’s announcement, her father Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) was also pleased, as he had been encouraging her to take the leap.

Throughout season 12, she had been battling with the decision to rise the ranks and become District Attorney.

However, she decided to take the plunge after Frank came to blows with the current District Attorney, Kimberly Crawford (Roslyn Ruff).

Blue Bloods season 13 premieres Friday, October 7 on CBS in the USA. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
