BBC Breakfast: ‘Beam me up Scotty’ Naga tells Charlie ‘stop it’
BBC Breakfast’s weatherman and meteorologist Stav Danaos was forced to apologise to Naga Munchetty after forgetting she was sitting alongside co-star Charlie Stayt.
During his final weather report of the episode, Charlie handed over to Stav for one last insight into the weather of the weekend and coming week.
Once done, Stav handed it back to Charlie, forgetting that Naga was sat on the red sofa too and said: “That’s your forecast. I’ll see you tomorrow. See you later, Charlie”.
Noticing he missed out Naga during his closing, Charlie stared at the screen to make sure he had finished speaking.
Charlie then replied: “Bye bye Stav,” before Naga laughed and added: “Have a good weekend, Stav.”

Stav quickly realised he had missed Naga and responded: “Oh and Naga, sorry I didn’t see you there! I thought when Charlie handed to me on his own…”
Knowing there was nothing malicious in his mistake, Naga replied: “Yeah I know. We’re back together on the sofa now”.
Charlie chipped in: “We can all say goodbye together!,” as both Naga and Stav giggled.
The pair asked whether they would be seeing Stav again for a final report but he revealed that was his last.

Charlie teased: “He’s off, he’s had enough,” added Charlie before Naga agreed and joked: “He’s done”.
The awkward interaction didn’t go unnoticed by viewers, as Paul Nichols said on his Twitter account: “Well that wasn’t awkward was it… Stav forgetting Naga was sat right there.”
@TrinaMeena added: “Naga sitting there fuming she was forgotten by Stav! She seemed to hide her annoyance well though.”
Matthew Stafforn commented: “Haha it’s always Naga to make her co-stars feel uncomfy! Bless he didn’t mean to.” (sic)
Charlie and Naga’s easy attitude towards one another comes after she snapped at her co-star on Friday mornings episode.
Charlie was teasing their co-star Bland for wearing a yellow jumper and informing him many thought he looked like Captain Kirk from Star Trek.
After getting his co-star to repeat the words “Beam me up, Scotty!” Naga swiped: “Charlie stop it! Stop it!”
