Superman and Lois Lane are mere seconds away from going up, up and away in a first look at the Arrowverse crossover Elseworlds.
Following on from a behind-the-scenes shot unveiling Grimm‘s Elizabeth Tulloch as the Daily Planet’s ace reporter, fans have been given an actual look at the Man of Steel (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois in the iconic Fortress of Solitude.
This confirmation of Superman’s historic abode adds yet more scale to the crossover event, which is already confirmed to introduce Gotham City and Arkham Asylum into the Arrowverse for the very first time.
Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) seeks out her cousin and Lois as well as identity-swapped versions of The Flash and the Green Arrow to investigate a series of disturbing reports about Arkham, which is being run by Dr. John Deegan (Jeremy Davies).
Their investigation will lead them to cross paths with Gotham City’s current protector Batgirl (Ruby Rose) as well as some of the dangerous super-villains locked in Arkham, including the Psycho-Pirate (Bob Frazer).
The alternate universe storyline will even allow for John Wesley Shipp to reprise his role as Barry Allen from the original Flash TV series in the 1990s. Arrow star Stephen Amell’s real-life wife Cassandra Jean Amell will also curiously appear as Mr Freeze’s doomed wife Nora.
The crossover starts with The Flash on Sunday, December 9 at 8pm ET, followed by Arrow on Monday, December 10 at 8pm ET and Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11 at 8pm ET, all on The CW in the US. Sky1 airs all three series in the UK.
