Ariana Grande uses PLASTER to cover up tattoo of ex Pete Davidson's name during performance as family admit they're 'so worried'

The Dangerous Woman singer was keen to hide any evidence of her four-month romance with the Saturday Night Live host during a pre-recorded set for a Wicked tribute for NBC.

Ariana returned to work on Tuesday to film her part in NBC's Wicked 15th anniversary special.

But she used a sticking plaster on her ring finger to hide her former fiance's name as she belted out The Wizard and I during the pre-recorded tribute to the hit musical.

Her huge engagement ring, reportedly worth a whopping £75,000, was also nowhere to be seen.

It will air on October and was the first time Ariana has been seen in public since the split.

Her family are now "so worried" for the 25-year-old as she has thrown herself into a hectic schedule of work to get over the break up.

A source told PEOPLE: "She’s staying strong and focusing on work right now, but her friends and family are definitely worried about her.

"Ariana’s been through a lot and emotionally things have been so up and down for her this year."

Ariana split from Pete earlier this week after a string of rows and a tough month coping with the loss of her rapper ex-Mac Miller.

An insider told The Sun Online: “Ariana dumped Pete. They'd been rowing for two weeks about Pete's lack of support after Mac's death.

“Ariana has been devastated and Pete couldn't handle it. She realised she needs a grown-up who can support her and that's not him."

News of the split came after Ariana told fans she was struggling and desperate to have "one okay day"following the death of her ex.

Mac died on September 7 from a drugs overdose and Ariana later apologised for not being able to help him in a candid post.

She wrote: “I’m so sorry I couldn’t fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you’re okay now. rest.”
