Ant and Dec hit the road to visit I'm A Celebrity castle in Wales

Ant and Dec have landed Down Under (in Wales) and have taken a trip to the new location of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

The jungle outback show is getting a change of scenery this year thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, and instead will be filmed in Gwrych Castle, Conwy, south Wales.

Alongside a selfie of themselves in the scenic moorland, and a sign clearly showing the way to the new location, the pair teased: ‘Quick trip to Wales in search of the #imaceleb castle. If only there was a sign…’

They were dressed in matching khaki outfits, which were very befitting of an explorer.

However, before the show has even begun, they may have run into a little bit of trouble – with Wales taking on new guidelines on Wednesday that might halt filming in its tracks.

People will no longer be able to form, or be in, an extended household, which makes the series almost impossible.

Discussing the changes, an ITV spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: ‘I’m A Celebrity continues to adhere to all relevant guidelines as well as our own strict Covid protocols.’

Let’s keep our fingers crossed it’ll be lifted in the next month, are we right?

While the official line-up has not yet been announced, a string of famous faces have been linked with a visit to the castle.

Rob Kardashian, Alexandra Burke, Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn and Jessie J have all been rumoured to be temporarily making Wales their home.

I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here returns later this year on ITV.
