American Horror Story fans 'already having nightmares' as show boss posts 'terrifying' season 10 audition clip

AMERICAN Horror Story fans were left with shivers down their spine after show boss Ryan Murphy posted an audition tape from the upcoming series.

The TV maestro has been teasing fans with a string of clues about the theme of season 10.

  • The most terrifying horrors on Netflix
  • The best true crime series on Netflix

His latest treat comes in the form of a creepy clip of new cast member Spencer Novich.

While we don't have specific details about his character yet, the unnerving footage certainly indicates that he'll be some kind of villain.

The video sees Novich contort his body, before running towards the camera and whipering: "I'm going to kill you."

"Congrats to Spencer Novich who is joining the cast of this season’s American Horror Story," Murphy captioned the post to his 800k followers.

"This is the audition that got him the job. Guess the title yet?" he added.

It didn't take long for fans to take to the comments section with their thoughts.

"S**t it's like he crawled straight out of my nightmares," one user wrote, alongside a screaming emoji.

"If this is him without all the scary makeup, lighting, effect etc then I dread to think what he'll be like on the show," another added.

As for the new theme, the current leading fan theories are vampires or sirens, given how teaser images posted by Muprhy involved the sea.

Other clues he has posted included a deadly set of fangs and a woman's face cracked and covered in spiders.

However, given that Murphy has hinted that the coronavirus pandemic may have shifted the choice of theme, everything is still up in the air.
