A Place in the Sun viewers 'switch off' as 'miserable' guest deals harsh blow to Lee Juggurnauth | The Sun

A PLACE in the Sun viewers threatened to 'switch off' after a 'miserable' guest dealt a harsh blow to Lee Juggurnauth.

The latest episode saw Lee meet couple Julie and Pete in the Dordogne region in France to try and help them find a holiday home.

The couple wanted a two or three bed property with traditional appeal but modern interiors.

At one point, Lee took them to a three bedroomed home that he claimed was ready to move into straightaway.

But when the couple stepped inside, they fell silent, prompting Lee to say: "I can't tell if this is you happy or not."

Julie admitted: "I don't like staircases in my lounge!"

Trying to salvage things, Lee said: "I mean, it's inoffensive, it's in the corner."

But Julie was having none of it, and even after Lee suggested they paint it white so it's less visible she said: "I don't know.

"The dogs would be up it all the time and yes, that would be a problem."

Despite their initial lukewarm reaction to the property, the couple ended up liking it once they'd seen more and said it was "a contender".

Another jibed: "'Can't tell if this is you happy or not.' Same, Lee. Same."

A third added: "Can't watch this anymore, this couple today are so difficult to watch, poor Lee. I'm switching off, all she says is 'yep, yep, yep, yep'."

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4.
