Tina Turner had broken her silence after it was widely reported that her son Ronnie died.
The global singing sensation took to Instagram on Friday night (December 9), following reports that her son had passed away, to confirm the news.

Earlier today, American publication TMZ reported that Ronnie, 62, had died after "having a hard time breathing".
He is said to have been found unresponsive by neighbours, with efforts to revive him unsuccessful.
Law enforcement sources told the site that they "received a 911 call Thursday (December 8) morning from a person who said Ronnie was outside their home and having a hard time breathing".
They then said: "A few minutes later, he wasn't breathing at all."
It is said that paramedics "rushed to the San Fernando Valley address where bystanders were attempting CPR".
Despite bystanders attempting to revive Tina's "beloved son", the efforts "didn't work" and "he was pronounced dead at the scene".
After Tina took to Instagram on Friday night to confirm the sad news, she was inundated with messages of condolence from fans and friends.
"May he rest in eternal peace," penned one in the comments.
Another said: "The elegance in the message. I love you Ms Turner."
"Peace and love to your grieving heart and to your family," wrote a third.
While a fourth said: "You are in my prayers. I love you."
Ronnie was born in 1960, to Tina and her husband Ike.
He starred alongside his mom in 1993 biopic What's Love Got To Do With It, which told the story of her life.
