X Factor star and host of ITV show This Morning Dermot O'Leary has been on our screens since 2001 but he has revealed that Dermot is not, in fact, his real first name.

Born in England to Irish parents Seán and Marie, Dermot was brought up in Colchester, Essex.

The 48-year-old was named after his father and his full name is Seán Dermot Fintan O'Leary Jr, though he chooses to go by just Dermot O'Leary.

Dermot began his career on BBC Essex as a radio DJ but made the move the television, where he is now a familiar face, to become one of the original presenters of Channel 4's T4 shows.

Back in 2001 he took the role of host on Big Brother's Little Brother, spin off to the Big Brother series, before taking on his iconic presenting gig as X-Factor host in 2007 which led him to become a household name.

The presenter will return as host of Soccer Aid alongside Alex Scott and fellow presenter Maya Jama.

This year's Soccer Aid match will be played at Manchester City's Etihad stadium, the annual charity match will also see Wayne Rooney come out of retirement to play as one of England's professionals.

The match has already raised over £47million for UNICEF.

Alongside Rooney, Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp and Ashley Cole will play the match.

Also out on the pitch will be Mark Wright, James Arthur and captain Olly Murs.

The latest update sees Rivaldo join the Rest of the World XI, England's rival team.

Managing the Soccer Aid World XI FC is Jamie's dad Harry Redknapp, with David Seaman is coaching England's goalkeepers alongside Micah Richards, who has joined England's coaching team.

Sadly, two celebs have had to pull out of the infamous charity event; Roman Kemp tested positive for Covid-19 leading to fears the whole match could be cancelled whilst Paddy McGuinness had to leave the team due to a leg injury.

You can watch the match live on ITV or on ITV Hub tonight from 6:30pm.
