Sharon Stone's family has opened up about the death of baby River.
River William Stone sadly passed on August 30 after he was found unconscious in his crib.
He suffered organ failure and was only 11-months-old.
Sharon’s family shared the news that the organs had been donated to those who needed them and “saved three lives.”
River’s dad Patrick and mum Tasha made the announcement on the Instagram page of the Centre for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE).
In a statement made by the family, they said: “He was our tiny jokester, our water baby, our little foodie 2Now, River has also become a hero.
“In death, he made a far greater contribution to this world than most of us could ever hope to ourselves.
“And he proved that the shortest of lives can also be the most meaningful ones.
“As an organ donor, River saved three lives.”
Last week, the 11-month-old baby was airlifted to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh where it is one of the best paediatric facilities in the country.
Sharon’s family didn’t reveal how baby River suffered from total organ failure but could donate his organs.
It comes as the Hollywood star Sharon was travelling to Italy when she announced the news about her nephew’s condition.
Sharon was in Venice for a photoshoot with designers Dolce & Gabbana but was pictured landing at JFK airport in New York soon after.
The 63-year-old shared the news to her followers: “My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w[sic] total organ failure today,
“Please pray for him. We need a miracle.”
Meanwhile, River’s mum Tasha also made a plea to those on her Facebook page.
She said: “This is the HARDEST thing I have ever had to post, but I am BEGGING everyone and anyone who prays please pray HARD for River.
“Every single second of this is literally killing me. I just want my sweet sweet boy back.”
She continued: “The doctor said if he does pull through he will never be the same.
“Please I am begging for prayers that my baby can be healed and come back with his family who love him so very much. I am beyond heartbroken.”
