American rapper Big Scarr has allegedly died at the age of 22.
The Memphis-born singer – whose official name is Alexander Wooders – reportedly passed away on Thursday (December 22).
Rapper Gucci Mane, who’s behind the record label Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, which Big Scarr was signed to, had also taken to social media to make the announcement.
“This hurt,” Gucci put underneath a slel of snaps that featured the Memphis native, adding, “I’m a miss you @bigscarr.”
The cause of Scarr’s death is currently unknown and no confirmation has been given by police or local news.
After the rapper’s death news, celebrities and fans have taken to social media to share their condolences.
Jamaican-American podcaster and YouTuber DJ Akademiks, 31, took to Twitter with a tribute, writing, “RIP Big Scarr.”
Big Scarr’s fellow mate, Enchanting, also seemed to confirm the news via her Instagram Story.
“Ion wanna talk. Sorry if I don’t answer. I just can’t,” she posted, adding a broken heart emoji.
One fan penned: “Is this real? It can’t be RIP,” while another commented: “Another G has passed away. Rest in paradise.”
