"Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day, including his dedication to service, the military duty that twice took him to the frontlines of Afghanistan, and the joy he has found in being a husband and father.

"Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that shows readers that behind everything they think they know lies an inspiring courageous and uplifting human story."

Piers questioned Harry's decision as he laughed over him being "ready to tell his story" in a series of tweets after finding out that Harry will be releasing his memoirs.

The book deal comes shortly after it was confirmed by the couple that they would be releasing their first TV production after signing a deal with Netflix last year.

Speaking of their debut TV production series Pearl, Harry's wife Meghan Markle said at the time: "I'm thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix, and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history.

"David Furnish and I have been eager to bring this special series to light, and I am delighted we are able to announce it today."

Harry and Meghan have been focusing on projects outside of the Royal Family after stepping back as working members last year, including plans with Netflix for documentaries, production and other opportunities.
