Jennifer Aniston pays tribute to James Michael Tyler following his death at 59

Jennifer Aniston has paid tribute to her Friends co-star James Michael Tyler after his tragic passing.

The actor, famed for his role as Gunther, passed away peacefully at his home in Los Angeles following a battle with stage 4 prostate cancer, according to TMZ.

Hours after the news was announced, Jennifer, who played the object of Gunther's affections Rachel Green, shared a touching tribute to the actor, thanking him for the laughter they shared over the years.

Taking to Instagram, the 52-year-old wrote: "Friends would not have been the same without you. Thank you for the laughter you brought to the show and to all of our lives. You will be so missed #JamesMichaelTaylor. [sic]"

Alongside her sweet message, she posted a photo of James as Gunther and shared their a clip of the final scene together on the show.
