Jason Manford revealed that his beloved nana has died – just months before a milestone birthday.

Taking to his social media account, Jason uploaded a sweet video of his 99-year-old nan – who suffered from dementia.

In the clip, the comedian and his “inspirational” nan were singing along to a Nat King Cole together.
“Goodnight Nana Manford, we were so lucky to have you in our lives for so long. 99 years of wonderful moments & incredible memories,” the TV star wrote in the caption.
“Even when dementia took hold, she loved music. Whether making cardigans for kids or bullets for Lancaster bombers, she was an inspirational woman.”
Friends and family were quick to rush to the comments section to send their condolences and support to Jason.
I’m A Celeb South Africa star Carol Vorderman gushed: “What a woman Jason…..you will have made her burst with pride.”
While Diversity star Ashley Banjo wrote: “Sending love my friend,” and Michelle Keegan penned: “Sending lots of love Jason.”
One fan said: “So sorry Jason. I was crying at this beautiful video even before I read your sad news. The love you all had for your Nana has always shone through xx.”
Echoing their thoughts, a second follower wrote: “What a firebrand woman. How lucky you were to be so close. Sending you and your family a big hug.”
Jason was first hit with heartbreak after his Nana was rushed into hospital in February, and a month later he shared the “heartbreaking” update on Instagram.
The comedian posted photos of himself at her bedside, along with his loved ones, as he told his followers they were all trying their best to “stay strong.”
He wrote: “Unfortunately she's still in the hospital. Everyone is doing everything they can to get her home but she's just stopped eating (even when given a box of her favourite chocolates for Mother's Day!)'. Not sure why, she says she wants to come home, knows that eating will help this, but for whatever reason, maybe her dementia, she just won't eat.”
In February, Jason told MailOnline he believed his gran was “on the mend” and “doing so much better.”
He explained: “They get to a certain age, and they stop eating and drinking so we just had to get her in and on a drip but she's feeling much better.”
Jason went on: “She'll be back home in the next couple of days. It was a real turnaround, it didn't look like it was going that way. She turns 100 in December and she's desperate to get there so it was a bit worrying.”
