Caitlyn Jenner vows to become Queen of YouTube in new web series

Forget the Kardashians, Caitlyn Jenner has vowed to become the new Queen of YouTube.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Star, the transgender TV icon talked everything from her family to her Olympic legacy as she opened up on the exciting next step in her journey.

She said: "Life is wonderful. I just wake up in the morning and be myself every day, I don't have to play any games. I couldn't be more proud of the entire family."

The 70-year-old, who transitioned in 2015, rocketed to worldwide fame as reality TV star parent to Kendall and Kylie and step-parent to Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob in the hit show Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

With Kim announcing the bombshell news that the show is set to end after this coming series, Caitlyn said: "It's been so good for my family, my kids have handled it so well, I couldn't be prouder of them.

"Kris has done an amazing job keeping the show going."

She added: "I don't ever see that side of the family, having just a private life. I don’t think that's ever going to happen.

Now Caitlyn has set her sights on dominating a new field with the launch of a YouTube channel and she even hinted some family favourites could appear.

She told Daily Star Online: "Starting my own channel has been so much fun. I can do any storyline I want and my family really likes it and they said they would do things.

"I want to do a wide variety of stuff, I want to do some aviation stuff but I don't want to bore them [viewers], it's a passion of mine so I have some shows coming up on that. Just little things about my life and what's going on."

After putting most of her life in the public domain KUWTK, it's hard to imagine that Caitlyn has little left to reveal.

She joked: "I remember when I was shooting Keeping Up, I would think to myself 'oh my God, we have another season coming up. What are we going to do?'"

But now, she is free to do and talk about exactly what she wants to speak about and said she will do "what she wants to do" on the channel – including transgender issues…

Discussing her transition she said: "I finally got all this stuff straightened out and life is wonderful. I just wake up in the morning and be myself every day, I don't have to play any games."

The star was also keen to highlight her achievements as an athlete – after revealing she bumped into a fan who had no idea of her Olympic legacy from the 1976 games and had to give him a quick class.

She said: "I said, well, I actually won and broke the world record that day. They just think of you as Kendall, Kylie, Kim and everyone's parent – that's all they know you as."

Speaking frankly about her personal battles, she said: "As I look back on my life – the impact and why did I do that.

"I think about it all the time, why was I so obsessed, train so hard to do that and accomplish that.

"It had a lot to do with who I was and the things I was running from, I want to put that on public perspective."

"The Olympics had a tremendous impact on my life and I'm incredibly proud of those achievements."
