An expert has claimed that Britney Spears' social media outbursts and raunchy posts including posing topless may have a negative effect on her in court.
The pop singer, 39, has recently become embroiled in a court case with her father, Jamie Spears, 69, who was legally put in place as her conservator in 2008.
Since going public with her views on her dad, Britney has shared a wide variety of content to her social media channel, which has seen her strip off to just her knickers and thigh-high boots, as well as seductive dance routines in crop tops.
Now, a legal expert has offered his opinion claiming that Britney's online attack against her father could wreak havoc in court.
Speaking to The Sun, Los Angeles lawyer Benazeer 'Benny' Roshan said: "To the extent that her page is a public forum where information is available, I think absolutely someone can use that in court however they want to.
"When you’re in court, you’re under oath but when you’re on social media, there’s an entertainment value. "
Discussing Britney's statements in a Los Angeles courtroom, she continued: "But there are other ways of evaluating someone’s capacity, like with testimony's.
"You can’t stretch social media posts to create a case against terminating the conservatorship."
Benny added: "I think that would be a desperate stretch if he gets to that point where he’s grasping at straws so much, he’s not handling things well or gracefully."
Earlier in the month, court documents stated that Jamie would be stepping down as Britney's conservator after 13 years.
However, this does not suggest that he will be removed from the conservatorship, he will not hold as much power as he had previously held.
Last month, Toxic songstress Britney took to social media, claiming that she will never take to the stage again while her dad holds some control of her life.
In view of her Instagram followers, Britney wrote: "For those of you who choose to criticise my dancing videos…. look I'm not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think!!!!"
She continued: "I’ve done that for the past 13 years… I'd much rather share videos YES from my living room instead of onstage in Vegas where some people were so far gone they couldn't even shake my hand and I ended up getting a contact high from w**d all the time… Which I didn't mind but it would have been nice to be able to go to the mother f***ing spa!!!!
"And no I'm not gonna put on heavy makeup and try try try on stage again and not be able to do the real deal with remixes of my songs for years and begging to put my new music in my show for MY fans… So I quit!!!!"
