Running from September 2, 2008, to May 13, 2013, on The CW, 90210 stood as an American teen drama TV series created by Rob Thomas, Gabe Sachs, and Jeff Judah.

Just like its forerunning series, Beverly Hills, 90210, the drama chronicled the experiences of numerous affluent students enrolled at West Beverly Hills High School.

But more so, the popular American TV show not only featured cameos of various music artists, but also launched the career of many actors who have gone on to become renowned Hollywood stars.

From Meghan Markle to Christina Aguilera, both 90210 and the original Beverly Hills, 90210 series showcased unexpected guest star appearances who have likely been completely forgotten by the viewers – so from the original to the newer series, who has appeared?

The Kardashian sisters

Khloé, Kim, and Kourtney made cameo appearances portraying themselves in the debut episode of the third season of the show 90210.

Back in 2010, Khloé expressed her enjoyment in filming her guest appearance on the teen drama.

She wrote on her personal blog at the time: "Kim and I shot 90210 today and we had a blast!

“We played exaggerated versions of ourselves which obviously wasn't too difficult to do but we were both still a little nervous."

Lily Collins

During 2009, Phil Collins’ daughter made appearances in a pair of episodes in 90210, one of which was the concluding episode of the show's inaugural season.

In the same year, Lily went on to achieve her breakthrough cinema moment by taking on a prominent role in the award-winning movie The Blind Side.

She portrayed Collins Tuohy, the daughter of Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock's character).

Meghan Markle

In the inaugural season of 90210, the Duchess of Sussex made a brief appearance alongside Shenae Grimes-Beech who played Annie Wilson.

Shenae and Meghan shared an awkward scene in the company of Dustin Milligan, who portrayed Ethan Ward.

In the 2008 episode, Prince Harry ’s wife’s character was essentially only included so that Annie could witness Ethan receiving oral sex from her.

Snoop Dogg

The rap legend made a cameo appearance on The CW's 90210 in 2011.

During the third season of the reboot, Snoop Dogg appeared in the drama as none other than himself, in an episode where Dixon (Tristan Wilds) and Navid (Michael Steger) unexpectedly cross paths with the renowned rapper.

Cori Broadus, The Next Episode rapper’s daughter, also featured on the show and appeared in multiple scenes alongside actress AnnaLynne McCord, who portrayed Naomi.

Eva Longoria

Beverly Hills, 90210 provided Eva Longoria with very first on-screen acting gig.

The Desperate Housewives actress’ debut occurred in a 2000 episode, wherein she portrayed the character designated as "Flight Attendant #3."

In a 2016 interview with YahooTV, Eva jokingly recounted: “I was flight attendant No. 3.

“I wasn’t even No. 1 or 2, I was flight attendant No. 3.”

Paul Johansson

The actor, known from One Tree Hill, took on the role of the rebellious John Sears, Kelly's (Jennie Garth) love interest during the fourth season of Beverly Hills, 90210. He mentioned, "Everyone was incredibly kind to me."

In a 2016 interview on "The Blaze with Lizzie and Kat" podcast, Paul said: “There were some antics, there was some tension, but that’s what happens when kids go from 0 to 600 and are hosting Saturday Night Live three years into their acting career.”

Rosie O’Donnell

The television presenter portrayed her own character in Beverly Hills, 90210, leading a seminar on AIDS and safe sex that the group attended in the year 1992.

Rosie went on to take on the role of host for a daytime talk show titled The Rosie O’Donnell show in 1996.

The show achieved remarkable success, earning numerous Emmy Awards, as well as winning the "The Queen of Nice" due to her affable and cheerful conversational approach with guests.

Lucy Liu

Lucy's initial foray into the world of acting involved joining Brandon (Jason Priestley) and his companions at the Peach Pit, retro-styled restaurant in Beverly Hills.

She portrayed Courtney, a youthful waitress employed at the popular establishment, throughout the second season of Beverly Hills, 90210, in 1991.

The actress went on to achieve success in Hollywood, receiving multiple accolades, including winning a Critics' Choice Television Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Ryan Seacrest

Securing a cameo in the tenth season of Beverly Hills, 90210 was a realisation of a dream for Ryan.

In an interview on Live with Kelly and Ryan in 2017, the media personality said: “I had a very short role as a game show host for a couple’s game show.

“I was very excited to get that role because when I was a kid in high school, I just wanted to meet Jason Priestley — Brandon Walsh — he was the guy I looked up to.”

Seth Green

The Buffy actor appeared in an amusing episode of season three of Beverly Hills, 90210, when Brenda's (Shannen Doherty) parents arranged blind dates for both her and Kelly.

As they eagerly apply their makeup at the Walsh residence, their enthusiasm turns to dismay when they descend the stairs, anticipating encounters with suave college guys, only to be met by Wayne (Seth) and his companion, a pair of young geeks.

Adam Levine

Prior to becoming the successful band Maroon 5, Adam's musical group was known as Kara's Flowers.

They had a performance at the Peach Pit After Dark during an episode in season eight of Beverly Hills, 90210.

The musician recalled being 17, and that the gig on 90210 was “the biggest deal ever”, as it was like “playing a stadium”, because there was “nothing greater back in the day”.

Aaron Paul

If you blinked, you could have easily overlooked Aaron in Beverly Hills, 90210, who later gained fame for portraying Jesse Pinkman on the award-winning show Breaking Bad.

However, in 1999, when he was a mere 20 years old, the actor took on the role of Chad, a student at West Beverly.

In that particular episode, he participated in a scene where he portrayed Romeo in the high school's rendition of Romeo and Juliet.

Christina Aguilera

Yet another well-known musical guest graced The Peach Pit After Dark’s stage, as Christina Aguilera kindly made an appearance to perform a song or two.

In an 1999 episode of Beverly Hills, 90210, the award-winning singer performed her global hit that propelled her into fame, Genie In A Bottle.

Often cited as the "Voice of a Generation", Christina has topped musical charts worldwide since.

Matthew Perry

Prior to assembling his own iconic group of friends on the television show Friends, Matthew had a brief stint as a member of the West Beverly High School circle, all thanks to his portrayal of troubled student Roger Azarian.

Roger grappled with the expectations imposed by his affluent father, George (Nicolas Coster).

In Beverly Hills, 90210, his challenges eventually culminated in a suicide attempt that was thwarted by Brandon.

Denise Richards

The iconic Wild Things actress took on the role of Robin McGill, Kelly's cousin, who attended the wedding of Kelly's mother, Jackie, and David's father, Mel, towards the conclusion of the third season of Beverly Hills, 90210.

At first observed as a spectator during the ceremony, Robin subsequently became the object of Steve's (Ian Ziering) romantic interests.

The 52-year-old Hollywood star has gone on to become a Bond Girl and a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills.

Jessica Alba

Jessica portrayed Leanne, a teenage mother seeking assistance from Kelly at a clinic in the eighth season.

The actress has since revealed that she did not hold the most positive recollections from her time on the Beverly Hills, 90210 set.

In a Hot Ones segment in 2020, Jessica said: “I couldn’t even make eye contact with any of the cast members, which was really strange when you’re, like, trying to do a scene with them.”

David Arquette

The actor notable for his role in the Scream franchise took on the role of the unscrupulous rock star Diesel Stone, who happened to be the former partner of Nikki (Dana Barron), Brandon's girlfriend, during the third season of Beverly Hills, 90210.

Diesel created tension between Brandon and Nikki when, unbeknownst to them, they stumbled upon one of his performances.

Instead of joining Brandon at a gathering with their friends, Nikki remained behind to reconnect with Diesel, further straining their relationship.
