It’s now less than two months until Daniel Craig’s fifth and final James Bond movie hits cinemas. And from the thrilling No Time To Die trailers, it’s clear that he’ll be teaming up with some other spies, including Ana de Armas’ Paloma. The 32-year-old’s CIA agent shows off some impressive skills as she fires machine guns in an evening gown during a sequence set in Cuba.
And now Ana, who was promoting The Natural Diamond Council’s campaign, has teased what Bond fans can expect of Paloma in No Time To Die.
She told Express.co.uk: “Of course in Bond films, glamour is essential.
“But I don’t really want to define Paloma just by what she’s wearing, as a girl in the gown and high heels.
“It’s just one part of who she is.”
Ana continued: “She’s a CIA agent from Cuba, and she’s wearing this dress and these diamonds because she’s on a mission and she needs to blend in, so everything is there for a reason.”
On teaming up with The Natural Diamond Council’s first celebrity campaign, which launches for the first virtual Emmys, she said: “It felt right to be working with a company whose values I respect and believe in.”
The Natural Diamond Council represents seven of the world’s leading diamond producers, all of who must follow the group’s ethical codes.
This includes mindful and sustainable mining and the support of women and families in diamond-mining communities.
Ana added: “I love thinking of diamonds this way, as special emblems of even the small personal moments in our lives.
“They represent joy and warmth and beauty.”
Earlier this year, Bond star Craig, who also acted alongside Ana in Knives Out, revealed the big challenge she overcame on No Time To Die.
Speaking with Vanity Fair, Craig praised his co-star saying: “I should always be so lucky to work with a woman like that.”

The outgoing Bond continued: “This is a movie where there’s a lot of s*** going on, a lot of big acting, myself very much included, but she shines through because she’s the real deal.
“She’s got very good comic timing and we’re not offering her a huge part.
“But she came in and just nailed it.
“She had very little to go on, the scripts are being rewritten, you’re changing things all the time or throwing them at her, and she’s not fazed by it.”
No Time To Die’s synopsis reads: “Five years after the capture of Ernst Stavro Blofeld, James Bond has left active service.
“He is approached by Felix Leiter, his friend and a CIA officer, who enlists his help in the search for Valdo Obruchev, a missing scientist.
“When it becomes apparent that Obruchev was abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen before.”
No Time To Die is currently set for UK release on November 12, 2020.
