Marvel fans might still be reeling from the devastating Avengers: Infinity War ending, but Bradley Cooper has defended Thanos over his pesky Snap.
Maybe the Guardians of the Galaxy star was just being biased as Rocket Raccoon was one of the heroes that actually survived the Snap, even if it did come at the cost of losing Groot for the second time.
“That’s why the movie works. Thanos is… what a character. The fact that he made you, kind of, go like, ‘He’s got a point’,” Cooper told BBC Radio 1.

“Right? He’s got a point and part of me is like, ‘I’m glad he’s sitting there on his chair with the sun coming down’. I mean, I hate that half the world’s dead, but there’s a part of me that’s, ‘He succeeded’ and I don’t know what that says about me.”
This isn’t even the first time that Marvel has made light of Infinity War‘s ending as it recently trolled fans when it revealed the home release date of Ant-Man and The Wasp. Just as the advert was ending, the DVD case was seen disintegrating into dust and fans were not okay.
Following the success of Cooper’s debut directorial outing A Star Is Born, it was rumoured that he could be the one to take over from James Gunn for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.
However, he revealed that he could never “direct anything that I didn’t write” so that rules him out.
Avengers 4 will be released in the UK on April 26, 2019 and in the US on May 3, 2019. Ant-Man and the Wasp is out now in the US and the UK. Book tickets here.
