Chris Pine calls out "double standards" following reaction to full-frontal nudity scene in new Netflix movie

American actor Chris Pine has taken on the role of famous Scottish historical figure Robert the Bruce in the Netflix movie Outlaw King.

The movie has received some good reviews, but a lot of discussion about the film has been around Chris Pine going full-frontal in a nude scene.

The Wonder Woman actor isn’t entirely comfortable with the whole scenario, and it’s not because he was forced to do the scene against his will.

Speaking on tonight’s (October 19) The Graham Norton Show, Pine says: “I bear the ‘full monty’ and it got a lot of attention.

“I thought the witty reviews were brilliant but what did strike me most is that Florence Pugh bares everything too and no one commented. I am not sure what that means.

“Either people think they can’t comment or everyone expects women to get naked. Either way, it’s double standards.”

He also talked about having an accent coach to help him with his Scottish accent, and kept speaking in the accent in the pub once the cameras had stopped rolling.

Outlaw King also stars Avengers: Age of Ultron‘s Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver) and Game of Thrones‘ Stephen Dillane (Stannis Baratheon) and James Cosmo (Joer Mormont, Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch).

The Graham Norton Show airs tonight at 10:35pm on BBC One. Outlaw King will be made available on Netflix from November 9.
