Will.i.am has reached out to Britney Spears amid her battle to have her father Jamie removed from her conservatorship, telling her to ‘stay strong’.
The pair previously worked together on the song Scream & Shout in 2012, and the Black Eyed Peas star has joined the likes of Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey and Halsey in voicing their support.
It comes after Britney, 39, gave a shocking testimony in court as she tries to end the conservatorship she has been under for the last 13 years.
Among her explosive claims was the allegation that under the conservatorship she is blocked from removing her IUD, a method of birth control, so that she can have children.
The Toxic singer also claimed that her boyfriend Sam Asghari, 27, is not allowed to drive her in his car and that she’s not allowed to see friends she met at an AA meeting locally.
The Voice UK star’s message of support came as Britney shared a drawing on her Instargam page with the caption: ‘Our Father who ART 🖼 in Heaven HALLOWED BE THY NAME !!!! Pssss you better F*****G BELIEVE IT !!!!’
Will.i.am, real name William Adams Jr, wrote in the comments: ‘I’m Praying that all your dreams come true…!!!
‘You are one of the kindest, sweetest & genuine people on earth!!! Stay strong!!!’
Amid her legal battle Britney’s lawyer and long time manager have both resigned, while her personal conservator Jodi Montgomery is staying on apparently at the star’s request.
The singer is currently enjoying some time away with Sam in Maui, and recently begged fans and paparazzi to ‘give her space’.
Spears recently said that she has no idea if she will perform again amid the conservatorship case.
Answering fan questions on Instagram, she said: ‘The next question is; am I ready to take the stage again? Am I going to take the stage again? Will I ever take the stage again?
‘I have no idea. I’m having fun right now. I’m transitioning in my life and I’m enjoying myself.’
