What Mourinho has been telling Man Utd players behind the scenes

Andreas Pereira has revealed the message Jose Mourinho has been relaying to his Manchester United players behind closed doors.

Mourinho has been under pressure in recent weeks, but United have shown renewed spirit and have performed well in their past two outings.

They came from behind to beat Newcastle before the international break and were unlucky to draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with the home side equalising in the dying embers of the contest.

Pereira spoke out about Mourinho after the game and explained how the Red Devils boss is trying to encourage his players behind the scenes.

"It was difficult at the start of the game but like the manager has said to us we need to keep our confidence and keep doing well," said Pereira.

"And in the second-half we scored two very good goals and then in the end we were a bit unlucky with the second goal we conceded.

"But I think we did very well and deserved more and we take a good feeling into the next game."

The Belgian-born Brazil star added: "We have shown that we can bounce back and that we still have faith and we are the Man United that everyone talks about, it’s never finished with us.

"We can always bounce back and change a game around and if we keep doing well hopefully more wins will come."

Antonio Rudiger broke the deadlock for the Blues on Saturday with a powerful header in the first half against the Red Devils.

But Mourinho’s men hit back twice after the break with Anthony Martial netting both goals for United as they turned the game on its head.

It looked as if Manchester United were going to hold on to an historic win over the south-west London club but Barkley had the final say and the game finished 2-2.

Is Mourinho still one of the greatest managers in the world?
