Meghan Markle looked like a vision at the Royal Wedding to Prince Harry, with her flowing white veil and diamond and platinum tiara.
Buuuuut it wasn’t the headpiece she wanted.
According to a new report from The Sun, there was “a very heated exchange” after Meghan was told she couldn’t wear the one she had chosen. Their source spills:
“Meghan had her heart set on this tiara with emeralds, and Prince Harry hit the roof when they were told it was impossible for her to wear it.”
So, uh, why *couldn’t* she wear this thing?? The source explains:
“The provenance of the tiara could not be established. There were concerns it could have come from Russia originally.”
Apparently the internal row went all the way to Queen Elizabeth herself, who had to have a word with Harry about it! The source says the Queen told him:
“Meghan cannot have whatever she wants. She gets what tiara she’s given by me.”
“The Queen also questioned why Meghan needed a veil for the wedding, given it was to be her second marriage.”
She almost took the veil, too??
“The message from the Queen was very much Meghan needed to think about how she speaks to staff members and be careful to follow family protocols.”
Apparently the message was received.
Meghan wore the Queen Mary Diamond bandeau and looked like a dream and lived happily ever after.
Look what Princess Eugenie wore just five months later…
Is it the same tiara?
Was the Queen actually holding that one back as a message to Meghan?? We know she uses fashion to make political statements.
Wait wait wait — could THIS be the reason Meghan and Harry broke wedding etiquette to announce their pregnancy at Eugenie’s nuptials??
This whole palace is on some Mean Girls shiz!
