Tom Parker’s children remember their daddy in touching moment with mum Kelsey

Kelsey Parker shared a touching moment with her two young children as they remembered their daddy Tom Parker by dedicating a memorial plaque on a bench.

Kelsey, 33, took to Instagram to share the heartwarming clip of the family day out, which was set to Bob Marley's feel-good song Don't Worry About A Thing.

On a beautiful sunny day the family could be seen walking through green pastures to reach the bench, which Kelsey revealed they first dedicated 16 years ago in memory of her Uncle Neil who died from cancer. It now also celebrates Tom, who died in March aged 33 after an 18-month battle with brain cancer.

Kelsey's mum was present, and could be seen pushing a stroller with Kelsey and Tom's children, Aurelia, three and Bodhi, one.

Alongside her grid post, Kelsey wrote: "One thing that did go well today is that we finally got Tom's plaque on our family bench.

"We created this place for my Uncle Neil who sadly died 16 years ago today, also to cancer (F you cancer!) at the age of 35.

"We have loved coming here to remember him, honour him, think about our precious memories with him so making this Tom's space too just felt so right. To have somewhere that me and our kids can come to for Tom means the world and I wanted to share it with all of you".

The video showed Kelsey screwing Tom's plaque to the bench and showed a close up of it, as it read: "Thomas Anthony Parker. Loving Husband, Son & Father. Forever in our hearts. 04.08.88 – 30.03.22."

In one sweet moment, Kelsey could be seen sitting on the bench and looking at the plaque, smiling, before tenderly touching it.

The mum of two also captured a white feather in the video, which she believes are 'signs' from her late husband.

Her grandparents were also there, and Kelsey gave a special shout out to her 80 year old nan on her Instagram stories.

She wrote: "Can we just talk about my amazing Nan who was 80 at the weekend. She hasn't been to the bench for three years. It's an hours walk."

"She wanted to see Tom's plaque go on our family bench. I felt so honoured that my Nan and Grandad suggested to put Tom on The Morris Bench.

Kelsey announced Tom's tragic death on March 30 of this year on Instagram.

She wrote: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side. Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.

"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you."
