Tame Impala dominated the 2020 Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Awards by winning five awards for their fourth album, The Slow Rush.
Tame Impala won both Album of the Year and Best Rock Album for The Slow Rush, along with Best Group. Frontman Kevin Parker also won both Producer of the Year and Engineer of the Year for the album.
Tame Impala had released The Slow Rush back in February of this year.
“Even if we only feel like a group properly when we’re playing live, when we’re playing live, I’m so proud of us,” said Parker, accompanied by live band members Jay Watson and Dominic Simper.
Meanwhile, Archie Roach took home the best male artist award for Tell Me Why, while Sampa the Great won best female artist for The Return.
