Strictly’s Kym Marsh, who is married to Army Major Scott Ratcliff, is said to have struggled to carve out enough time in their busy schedules for them to see each other.
Recent photos of Kym, 46, show the actress wearing her wedding ring but it has been reported the pair have called time on their relationship.
Scott, who is 12 years her junior, tied the knot with Kym in 2021, as a source told The Sun: “They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while.
“They were only getting to see each other for one or two days a week at the very most.”
They added: “Kym’s been so busy, and last year Strictly meant even her weekends were stacked up along with weekdays rehearsing.

“More recently she’s been filming all over the place and rehearsing for a new theatre run, and Scott is based in barracks down south – he’s got a very busy career as well.”
Kym had previously shared concern over her husband’s army tours, fearing that his life could be in danger each time he leaves.
“There is always anxiety, it is always stressful when he goes away,” she told the Sun back in 2019.
She added: “There may not be an actual war threat currently but there’s always a risk when you’re in these dangerous places.”
Meanwhile, Kym has children from previous relationships alongside other family members based in Cheshire, which makes dividing her time all the more challenging.
However, the source added that the aim was to try to keep the atmosphere “as amicable as possible”.
Express.co.uk have approached Kym Marsh’s representatives for comment.
The Strictly star, who narrowly missed out on a place in last year’s final, has recently been occupied with presenting BBC One’s Morning Live, while she has also joined the cast of Waterloo Road.
Kym first met Scott back in 2018 through a mutual friend, and they married three years later, making it Kym’s third time tying the knot.
