Bosses at Strictly Come Dancing have spoken out after Vick Hope sensationally claimed that producers spoke to the show’s judges before casting their dance-off votes over the weekend.
Vick, 29, was kicked off the show on Sunday night after finding herself in the bottom two along with comedian Seann Walsh.
She later claimed there had been a secret ‘conflab’ with the producers and judges before a decision was made about her exit.
A spokesperson for the BBC show has now vehemently denied ‘fix’ claims.
They told the Mirror: "It is categorically untrue to imply that producers tell the Judges how to score or who to save.
"Each judge votes on each dance independently, based on its merits and in their expert opinion alone.
"The Judges use an electronic voting pad to transmit their score or choice of who to save to the production gallery which is then locked in and cannot be changed."
They added: "Only after this does a Producer speak to the judges, advising them on how long they have to speak and reminding them to give a reason for their decisions.
"The process was exactly the same this weekend."
Capital DJ Vick and her professional partner Graziano Di Prima became the fourth couple to leave Strictly over the weekend.
The judges opted to save Seann Walsh and Katya Jones a week after they were spotted snogging on the street after a boozy night out.
Appearing on her Breakfast show on Monday, Vick was teased about her early departure by co-host Roman Kemp.
"It’s not the best kisser that gets through!" joked Roman.
Vick replied: "We had to have a dance off as well (but) it was very strange – so after the dance off there was a conflab with the producers and then they gave their decision.
“There was this stunned silence, it was a really weird atmosphere."
Vick only received one vote from judge Craig Revel Horwood.
"He was great, he was the only one who stayed after the show and had a drink with me," said Vick.
When quizzed why head judge Shirley Ballas appears to dislike her, she said on Capital: "I think I’ve got to be careful what I say here, because you never know what someone’s thinking. And it was from week one that people were suggesting there was something there, I don’t know. It’s been consistent and Saturday night I really felt it was just weird, wasn’t it?"
Mirror Online has contacted representatives for comment.
