Stacey Solomon has shared her decision to step away from social media for a day on the one year anniversary of Caroline Flack’s death.

Loose Women star Stacey, 31, told her 4.1 million followers she was “putting her phone away” for the day as she made a tribute to Caroline on her Instagram story.

Caroline was 40 when she tragically took her own life on Sunday 15 February 2020, after she was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating following an incident with her boyfriend Lewis Burton.

A year on, celebrities including Laura Whitmore and her husband Iain Stirling and Caroline's former boyfriend Lewis Burton have remembered her on their social media feeds.

Stacey has also joined in on the heartfelt tributes as she re-shared the final quote Love Island host Caroline had shared on her Instagram, which read: “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.”

Mum-of-three Stacey, who recently showed off her stretch marks in a crop top, wrote above: “Good morning. I’m putting my phone away for the day.”

Stacey then urged her followers to seek help if they ever feel like they need help.

She added: “Please Never forget. You’re so important and so loved and never alone."

Loose Women star Stacey then tagged a number of mental health charities which people can contact if they’re struggling including Samaritans, Mind, Mental Health Mates and Mental Health Foundation.

Caroline’s heartbreaking death was announced last year by her family in a statement which read: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February.

“We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”

Her death was later ruled as suicide in an inquest at Poplar Coroner’s Court later in February 2020.
