Congratulations are in order for Sheridan Smith, who has given birth to her baby boy.
It is her first child with fiance Jamie Horn.
The actress shared her baby joy on Instagram, along with the first snap of the new arrival.
Blessing us all with the moment she held her son’s hand, the 38-year-old wrote: ‘Our little man has arrived! We are both completely overwhelmed with love.’
Fans and famous friends rushed to share their well wishes to the new mum, with one commenting: ‘Oh congratulations. Big big love and healing vibes to you gorgeous. Xxx.’
‘Congratulations Mummy & Daddy, such beautiful news! Welcome to the world little one x,’ another said.
While a follower added: ‘Amazing!! Sending HUGE congratulations and big big love xxxx.’
The Mrs Biggs star confirmed her pregnancy back in November, sharing a picture of a baby blanket adorned with a hybrid of their surnames.
Sheridan previously confessed she wasn’t sure if she could ‘cope’ with being a mother.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph’s Stella magazine, she said: ‘My mum tells me she knows I could. She watched me with my dad in the last few days of his life and told me if I could be that caring I would be a perfect mother – but I don’t know.
‘I just know I’m not perfect.’
She previously fueled speculation that she was expecting a child last month after she posted about suffering from ‘morning sickness’ on Instagram, but she did not answer fans’ queries regarding this.
She also referred to her fiancé as ‘daddy cool’ in a video posted to her Instagram story, as the two were seen on board the cruise ship in their cabin. And she later proclaimed there was a ‘baby on board’ during a performance on the cruise, according to The Mirror.
‘I’ve got buckets in each wing and trainers so I can run,’ she told crowds. ‘I’m very out of breath. I’ve got all these new symptoms, so sorry!’
A cute gender reveal video followed, with Sheridan holding a blue dungarees set for her then-unborn child.
She captioned the post ‘It’s a…BOY!!!!!’ with a string of blue heart emojis.
Back in January the British actress revealed she was working on a documentary about becoming a mum for the first time.
Taking to Instagram to share the news while waiting for her scan, she said: ‘Exciting news – I’m doing a documentary about what’s best for mum and baby when you’re pregnant. Email me your worries, top tips, and questions [email protected]
‘And here’s a shameless selfie of me waiting for a scan p.s I haven’t a clue what I’m doing as a mum to be hence the documentary. Hoping to figure it all out along the way.’
Sheridan has been with Jamie since the two met via the dating app Tinder in early 2018, with the two getting engaged in May of that year.
