Rihanna Talks New Album, Relationships, And More In Vogue Cover Story

Rihanna is featured on the cover of Vogue‘s November issue and opens out about several things, such as her upcoming album, relationship status, and the reason for turning down the Super Bowl halftime show, over the course of an in-depth interview with the magazine.

Speaking about her upcoming album, Rihanna said, “I like to look at it as a reggae-inspired or reggae-infused album. It’s not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae.”

“But you’re going to feel the elements in all of the tracks … Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood,” she added.

However, Rihanna has not given the release date for the album.

On her much-rumored relationship with Hassan Jameel, RiRi says, “Yeah, I’m dating. I’m actually in an exclusive relationship for quite some time, and it’s going really well, so I’m happy,” and added that “without doubt” she wants kids at some point.

Asked why she rejected an offer to perform at halftime during the Super Bowl last year, Rihanna said she refused as she wanted to stand in solidarity with embattled former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

“Absolutely. I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people,” she stated. “I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.”

During the in-depth interview, Rihanna also spoke about politics, Trump and her fashion line, Fenty maison, the Paris-based line she founded with LVMH.
