Piers Morgan begs ‘deluded’ Kanye West not to run for US presidency

Piers Morgan has joined the masses begging Kanye West not to run for US presidency in the upcoming elections, describing the divisive rapper as ‘deluded’ and ‘narcissistic’.

Over the weekend, Kanye, 43, announced to his Twitter followers that he plans on joining the race for the White House in the 2020 elections, going up against President Donald Trump and presumptive Democratic Party nominee Joe Biden.

While SpaceX founder Elon Musk has offered his ‘full support’ to the rapper, Piers’ heart ‘sank’ when he heard the news.

In his latest column for the Mail Online, the Good Morning Britain host said: ‘It was almost impossible to think of anything that could possibly make the situation even more negative than it is right now.

‘Then Kanye West stepped forward to metaphorically cry ‘HOLD MY BEER, 2020!’ and announce he is running for president.

It was then that he realised things ‘could get a lot worse’.

‘Not now, Kanye, I thought. NOT BLOODY NOW,’ Piers stated, adding that the laughter ‘needs to stop’ and Kanye’s promise should be taken ‘very seriously’.

According to Piers, Trump is the perfect example of how ‘a very rich person with zero political background’ can ‘snaffle the presidency’ from even the most experienced candidate.

It later emerged that Kanye, who is being supported by his wife Kim Kardashian in his mission, has already missed several key deadlines to register as an independent candidate ahead of the elections in November.
