Amanda Owen’s stepdaughter Rosie has opened up about her own experience at Ravenseat Farm before her dad, Clive Owen, divorced her mother. He has since remarried and documents his life on Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm alongside his wife and their nine children.

Rosie was three-years-old when her family moved to Ravenseat in 1989, and her idyllic country lifestyle began.

However, that came to an end six years later when her parents split up after 13 years together.

The couple cited “falling out of love” as the reason behind their marriage breakdown, and Rosie’s mother moved her and her older brother to Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, with her.

She has since opened up about her loss after leaving Ravenseat as a child.

Clive and Amanda got together in 1995 and later married in 2000 when Rosie was 13 and the couple asked her to be a bridesmaid.

She explained that she later decided to stop visiting Ravenseat after supposedly losing her childhood home.

Clive’s daughter said that she believes she “lost her dad” when he remarried.

She also claimed that he had not called to invite or asked her why she stopped going to the family home.

“It feels like my childhood disappeared,” Rosie told The Sun. “My childhood home has been completely taken away from me.”

Talking about the prospect of new Our Yorkshire Farm episodes coming out soon, Rosie candidly explained she would not be able to bring herself to watch the programme.

She admitted previous attempts to watch the show have brought her to tears.

Rosie said: “I attempted to watch the show the first few times but I lasted about five minutes and ended up in tears.

“So I switched off and have never watched anything since. I immediately turn it over.

“It breaks my heart because it is like watching a past that I haven’t been in for years. It’s like a family that I’d love to belong to but I just don’t.”

Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda has been married to Clive for over two decades.

The shepherdess has spoken candidly about their relationship and admitted it “wasn’t love at first sight”.

“It was a slow burn thing, we kind of got to know each other,” admitted Amanda, reflecting on their first meeting way back in 1996 when she was aged just 21.

“We were friends first then went out a little bit together.”

Clive was 42 when they first met, but despite the 21-year age difference, love blossomed for the couple as they gradually grew closer and closer.

TV viewers marvel at Amanda and Clive’s life bringing up their children — three boys and six girls aged four to 20 – on the reality series.
