The new Premier League ball is upon us with Nike releasing a fresh yellow design to signal the arrival of British winter.
The new ball will come into play after the clocks go back on Sunday morning, with the design used to combat any adverse weather conditions that obscure the view for fans.
Nike’s new Merlin ball, which will be yellow and purple with a flash of crimson, is the latest high-vis design.
But fans will have to dig deep to purchase the official version, with Nike retailing it at £105 – though cheaper replicas are expected to be released.
The ball features a 12-panel design, which gives a truer, more accurate ball flight.
The ball will be on show from October 28 to next year on March 31, when the clocks go forward.
That means the first games scheduled to use the new ball will be Burnley vs Chelsea and Crystal Palace vs Arsenal at 13:30.
Whilst Manchester United vs Everton later on this Sunday and Tottenham vs Man City on Monday are also set to use the new ball.
