Miranda Lambert feels she can only get so far without a penis in the world of country radio.
While the superstar has enjoyed an incredibly successful career, she hasn’t had a No. 1 hit on the radio since 2014. That is, until she enlisted in Jason Aldean to sing with her on the track Drowns the Whisky, which hit number one back in August.

It’s a musical achievement Lambert can’t fully appreciate, however, because the song’s success supported her theory that she could only get a number one hit with the help of a “dude.”
The songstress spoke on the topic in a recent interview with The Washington Post, candidly revealing:
“Yes, I had to sing with someone with a penis to get a number one. I do like this person, Jason Aldean, a lot…so it was a great song with an old friend.”
Well, at least it was the penis of an old friend.
Looking back on her chart history, it’s impossible for Lambert not to see a frustrating correlation to which of her songs are the most successful. But even if a subconsciously sexist trend exists in terms of radio play, the 35-year-old doesn’t need no penis to break the bank on album sales. She continued:
“It is interesting that I haven’t had even a Top 20 in a long, long time. And then it goes No. 1 because it’s a dude. But you know — if we went and looked at how many singles or records were sold for the Top 10 songs right now, I’d probably triple it on record sales. So it doesn’t matter.”
She’s killing it where it counts! No d**k necessary!
