During the lockdown, the star began to share his sketches of wildlife more frequently as he enjoyed some quality time at his Hertfordshire estate.
The popular presenter owns a countryside farm alongside wife Nicola Mooney, who he recently celebrated 16 years of marriage with.
On Instagram, he dedicated a special tribute to Nicola, with a collage of pictures throughout their long-term relationship.
He captioned the post: “Today’s our anniversary.. 16yrs ago I married my soulmate and love of my life it’s been 23 yrs of happiness since we said hello!”
The couple is known for their love of wildlife and often shares snaps of the resident animals on the farm.
Matt expressed his delight after two twin lambs were born in his barn not long ago.
He wrote: “Twins!! Look at these new arrivals on our farm – What shall we call them ???- both boys.”
The star recently left The One Show after co-hosting the programme alongside Alex Jones for nine years.

His decision to step down has enabled him to spend more time at home and tuck his children into bed.
He told the BBC at the time: “I’ve loved that the One Show has been such a big part of my life for the last nine years.
“It’s been brilliant to showcase the eclectic mix of Britain, meet incredible people along the way and witness so many lives changed with the annual Rickshaw Challenge for Children in Need.”
The star has now been concentrating on presenting a new season of Countryfile following the easing of social distancing restrictions.
On his stories, Matt looked upbeat as he smiled to the camera wearing a khaki cap and sunglasses as he returned to filming.
He said: “Good morning everyone, I’m back on the country farm for the first time in a long time, doing a piece down the Grand Union Canal today.
“So parked my motor about a mile back there and I’m enjoying a beautiful walk alongside the reservoirs.”
Panning the camera around to show the canal, he added: “We’ll be doing a lot of these locks today. Keep you posted.”
