Madonna Tested Positive For Coronavirus Antibodies But Is Not Currently Sick

Putting rumors to rest, Madonna confirmed that she tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) antibodies.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the sexagenarian singer revealed she was sick during her Madame X Tour in Paris in March, but at that time she thought it was flu.

“I’m Grateful that I can be a part of supporting Research to Find the cure for Covid -19!! And just to clear things up for people who would rather believe sensationalist headlines than do their own research about the nature of this virus—I am not currently sick,” Madonna wrote.

Along with the message she posted a screenshot of a news article about her contribution to the research for a coronavirus vaccine.

“When you test positive for anti-bodies it means you HAD the virus which I. clearly did as I was sick at the end of my tour in Paris over 7 weeks ago along with many other artists in my show,” she added. “But at the time we all thought we had a very bad flu. Thank God we are all healthy and well now.”

Madonna has pledged to donate $1.1 million toward the development of a COVID-19 vaccine.
