Homes Under The Hammer star Lucy Alexander, 50, responded to a newspaper article which referred to her as the host of Wanted Down Under. The latter show is presented by Nicki Chapman, 53.
At least do your research… Nicki Chapman presents that fabulous show
The presenters discussed the blunder on Twitter, but the conversation soon became even more awkward when a fan suggested Lucy should replace Nicki on the show.
Lucy wrote: “At least do your research… @Nicki_Chapman presents that fabulous show.”
A Twitter user replied: “I thought you were the new presenter that’s why they wrote it.”
Another fan tweeted: “Perhaps they will offer it to you. You would make a good replacement for her.”

Nicki went on to share the article on her Twitter page, writing: “Perhaps I’ll take @LucyAlexanderTV with me next time I film #WantedDownUnder.”
Lucy replied: “Can you make me that promise? I’d hold your lip gloss whilst doing your ptc’s [piece to cameras].”
The former Pop Idol judge has been presenting the show since 2009.
Lucy previously hosted Homes Under The Hammer alongside Martin Roberts and Diob Dublin for 13 years.
She left the show back in 2016 and was later replaced by Martel Maxwell.
The host has since moved on to present BBC show The Customer Is Always Right, as well as working on other projects.
Earlier this year, she said working on her latest BBC show was similar to Homes Under The Hammer.
Speaking to Irish News, she said: “It’s funny, it’s exactly like Homes Under The Hammer.
