Love Island’s Tasha slams ‘nasty’ scene that ‘should not have aired’

Love Island star Tasha Ghouri has hit out at recent scenes in the ITV2 dating show, saying they "should not have aired".

The 24 year old, who starred on Love Island 2022 and came in fourth place with boyfriend Andrew Le Page, took to Twitter to share her views about the scenes, which saw this year's Islanders take part in a game of Truth or Dare which left Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown upset.

During the game, Zara's fellow Islanders chose her as the 'most likely to talk behind someone's back' and her romance with footballer Tom Clare – which has now ended – was branded the 'least compatible'.

Tom, 23, was then asked to choose the three female Islanders that make up his 'perfect woman', and Zara, 25, was left unimpressed with his answers.

Tom selected former flame Olivia Hawkins, 27, for her face, Zara for her body and Lana Jenkins for her personality.

Following the game, Zara was left close to tears as she recalled the outcome of the game. "No, I just can't be a***d. All the girls picked Tom. Liv picked Tom like twice. He picked Liv's face. I'm not just some f*****g booty to you," she fumed.

Zara's upset prompted ex-Islander Tasha to take to Twitter and share her support, and said the game had "turned nasty".

The model and dancer wrote: "Zara gal keep your head held high, that game legit turned nasty for no reason."

She also added: "Sometimes these games literally go too far and shouldn’t be aired tbh."

Viewers appeared to agree with Tasha, including fellow former Love Island star Dami Hope, 26, who wrote on social media: "Nah they need to leave Zara alone wtf," before adding: "The wind has shifted my girls eyelash, I’m backing Zara now."

Tasha's concern for Zara comes after some of the male Islanders on her season of the ITV2 dating show were accused of bullying her, while hundreds of Ofcom complaints submitted.

A game of Suck and Blow saw two Islanders make digs at Tasha which left her crying, with the incident receiving 351 Ofcom complaints.

The annual Snog, Marry, Pie challenge was then aired, with over 1,500 viewers submitting complaints to Ofcom over Tasha's treatment during the game.

She was pied in the face by both Luca Bish, 23, and Dami, and branded a 'game player' in upsetting scenes.
